Dr. Ahmad Khalid Hatam (PhD)

Dr. Ahmad Khalid Hatam has 15 years of experience in legal sector and has served as consultant with national and international organizations. He has provided professional and advisory services to multinational organizations, financial and banking institutions, and government entities throughout his career. He has served as Member, Shariah Board for 6 years. Dr. Hatam has obtained his PhD in Islamic Law and Jurisprudence from International Islamic University Islamabad and has extensively worked on Banking Law, Islamic Banking and Finance, Commercial Law, Tax Law, Labor Law, ADR, the Law of Negotiable Instruments and Property Law.

Abdul Malek Halimi

Associate Professor Abdul Malek Halimi was born in 1974 in Kabul, Afghanistan. He completed his baccalaureate from Habibia High School in the year 1989. Mr. Haleemi did his bachelor's in business administration from Kabul University Faculty of Economics in 1995. He did his Master's in development management from Institute of Development Research and Development policy, Ruhr University of Bochum, Germany in year 2006. In 1995, he joined Kabul University Faculty of Economics as an associate professor. Since 2006, he headed the Department of Economics, National Centre for Policy Research at Kabul University. During 2007-2008 he was the Deputy Director of “Research Magazine” of Kabul University. Further he served as member of advisory board “Center for International Private Enterprises” CIPE since 2010. Mr. Halimi has also been member of the BMA Supervisory Board between 2014-2016. Since January 2016, he has been the Chairman of BMA Board of Supervisors. Moreover, Mr. Halimi has conducted research and produced papers in investment for private sector, economic and social impact of privatization, trade and transit relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan, India’s role in reconstruction of Afghanistan, private sector investment, consumer rights and its prospects in Afghanistan, human capital and its role in economic growth of Afghanistan. Mr. Halimi developed guidelines related to the preparation of dissertation reports for faculty students. His contribution in introducing scientific research methodology in Afghanistan especially Afghan universities is of greater value.

Farhad Sallihi

With more than a decade worth of experience within the banking sector, Mr. Sallihi comes with expertise in finance, treasury and investment management. Mr. Sallihi served local and international banks in the capacity of Manager Treasury, Chief Financial Officer and member of Board of Management. Mr. Sallihi Economics graduate from the Kabul University is also a Chartered Certified Accountant and a member in good standing with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom. He has served as Technical Committee Member to CPA Afghanistan and was a member of Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment of the UK.

Kanishka Aien

Mr. Kanishka Aien has 15 years of experience in banking industry of Afghanistan. With expertise in banking operations, Mr. Aien functioned in the capacity of Head of Departments, Chief Operating Officer and member of Board of Management within the banking industry of the country. Mr. Aien obtained his bachelors in Economics, and MBA from the prestigious Kabul University. Moreover, he has completed Operational Risk Management certification from the Global Risk Academy and has served previously as committee member of Afghanistan Banking SWIFT community.
